Welcome to the Javascript module of the [Complete Web Development Series] course offered by Ethicals.

Introduction:

JavaScript’s popularity is increasing day by day and now it becomes the most popular programming language with developers, followed by Python and then Java, according to analyst firm SlashData’s latest survey of developers.

In 1995, Brendan Eich created a new scripted language (Javascript) in just 10 days. Initially known as ‘Mocha’, then quickly become ‘LiveScript’ and then finally JavaScript.

JavaScript is a simple and easy-to-learn programming language as compared to other languages such as Java, C, C++, etc. It is generally supported by all the major browsers. Though you can disable JS in your browser settings to see the web world without Javascript.

Future of Javascript:

Javascript is everywhere, big tech companies like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Netflix, Linked In, Walmart, eBay, Uber, Paypal, Microsoft, etc. are using JS and its frameworks.

Javascript has great community support that makes it constantly evolving. Application and uses of Javascript are rapidly increasing and this has led it to become one of the most wanted job skills of 2020 (at least according to StackOverflow’s developer survey). Enough of the Intro, Let’s Begin our learning journey.
